Owner & Lead Financial Solutionist

I started Tesseract Business in 2022 after twenty years of working for Chicago nonprofits and small businesses, primarily within the performing arts.  I consider myself a consummate hustler and have done just about every job there is that facilitates getting art and beauty to the people of this city that I love.  Nothing brings me greater joy than solving problems and developing systems that make work easier and more fulfilling for me and my colleagues.


I live in Andersonville with my hilarious husband, Manny Petty, and love vintage style, cooking for friends and family, and playing the piano.  I am always happiest when I’m seeing a live performance.

Financial Specialist

I’m excited to have joined Tesseract Business in 2024. I have more than 8 years of professional accounting experience, spanning from finance to audit. Notably, the bulk of my experience has been in consulting, external financial statement audits and preparation, as well as project management at both BIG4 and boutique firms. I look forward to using my accounting experience to help bring value to nonprofits and small businesses across the US.

Tesseract is always searching for qualified bookkeepers and financial managers who are passionate about supporting nonprofits and small businesses.  We do our work through two primary roles:

Financial Solutionist

Financial Solutionists are the lifeblood of Tesseract.  They help our clients fix and manage their finances through bookkeeping solutions, systems solutions, payroll solutions, reporting solutions…you get the idea.

Financial Specialist

Financial Specialists support the work of our Financial Solutionists.  They provide day-to-day bookkeeping, payroll, and business office management services to our clients.
